Working with Andreana Drencheva from King’s College London to research power dynamics in the sector, or more specifically: How do power imbalances manifest for grassroots organisations and marginalised creatives working with cultural sector institutions? How can the impact of these imbalances be removed to increase cultural value for everyone?

Part of sharing our findings throughout this research has been to officially launch a Rising Arts Agency Podcast, with artwork commissioned from Fyona Finn and the initial four episodes edited by Joe Hill.

We also hosted a THIS IS THE WORK event for the cultural sector and published a zine of our findings which you can listen to and read below.

This work is possible thanks to the Centre for Cultural Value’s Collaborate fund

“Talking to other artists and people who have been part of this, you start to realise how much institutions can get away with when you don’t create a space for artists to talk to each other.”
