All In The Mind? – Exploring Youth Mental Health

Rising Arts Agency is thrilled to announce that we have been successful in our application for Bristol City Council Creative Seed Funding for our project ‘All In The Mind?’.

“All In The Mind?” has been initiated by a group of young people who want to use photography and creative expression to highlight personal and political issues relating to mental health. Through the virtual and physical exhibition of their images, young people will have the opportunity to express themselves, engage in conversation and actively contribute towards positive change to mental health education throughout the city and beyond.

Beginning in April, 12 young people will generate a series of images to be shared widely through Rising’s Instagram platform and via a place-based exhibition. These will then act as an invitation to a much wider community of young people to create their own images for upload to Rising’s platforms.

Stay tuned to our social media and website for updates!

They have also met at the Pervasive Media Studio to familiarise themselves with the space and to discuss the project. In the coming days, they will meet at Spike Island to share their existing work around mental health, and to discuss where to progress next.
