Rising is currently planning a pilot of a new creative leadership programme: ‘Aspirations Rising’.
The programme will target 18-25 year-olds, in response to the under-representation of young people in advisory roles in the arts and cultural sector, and seeks to use the power of their voice to bring about positive change.
We aim to offer between 6 – 8 participants with leadership potential a tailored 6-month programme to equip them with the skills, knowledge, confidence and networks. We hope participants will go on to influence the sector’s development, ensuring that young people are embedded in arts and cultural organisations across the city.
Although we will encourage participation from young people of all backgrounds, we particularly welcome involvement from young people from BAME communities, and those with additional needs, as they are underrepresented in the sector.
